As a VRS member, you have access to:

10 monthly general meetings (excluding August and
December), held on the third Tuesday of each month, at
·
an extensive library of books on rose-growing, some
of which are reference only, and others which can be taken out of the library
by members for a short time. The
library is open a half hour before each general meeting.
·
a hard-copy or electronic monthly
journal, called the “Rose Bed,” packed with rose information and
advice. The Rose Bed is mailed or emailed out to all members, 10 months of the
year.
·
access to
specially-formulated professional-quality fertilizer, sold at the VRS’s annual fertilizer sale in March. There is also an assortment of various
commercial organic and chemical fertilizers, and soil amenders, sold at this
sale.
·
dozens of private
gardens throughout the summer, as members open their gardens to other members
to enjoy. The VRS also holds an
annual Garden Party at one of our member’s homes in August.
·
Rose mentors, in the form of experienced rosarians from around the lower mainland, who are willing
to share their expertise and advice with newer members.
·
an annual Rose Auction, where
hard-to-find and unusual roses are auctioned off to raise funds for the
Society.
·
discounts from
participating nurseries and garden shops.
